The first kiss is one we always remember. For those of us who have already been through it, chances are we may also remember the sweaty palms and butterflies. There are however, some good first kissing tips that can help you be more confident before your first kissing experience.

I have to be totally honest. I never really thought about kissing as something that has to be learned. But the truth is, it is an art. Not all guys know how to kiss a girl. Some guys are flat out awful at it. Lets face it, if they werent, there wouldnt be so many people looking up "how to kiss a girl" on the Internet. So, in order to get you started in the right direction, let me impart some basic tips that should help a lot.

Tip number 1 - keep your lips moist. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY wants to kiss somebody who has chapped lips or lips that are so dry that they feel like theyre kissing sandpaper. So keep them moist. Some Chapstick will do just fine. You might want to stay away from the flavored ones though because some people have an aversion to them. Youre better off sticking with the flavorless kind.

Tip number 2 - dont swallow your partners face. Have you ever watched those movies where the guy grabs hold of the gal real tight and practically smashes his face into her? You know the kind of kiss Im talking about. You couldnt pry them apart with a crowbar. Trust me on this, those kisses only work in the movies. Nobody REALLY wants to be kissed like that...at least not on the first kiss. Keep it gentle and sweet to begin with and youll do fine.


Tip number 3 - Maintain eye contact before and after the kiss. Kissing a girl is part psych job. You want to mesmerize her with your gaze. And there is no better way to do this than to stare deeply into your girls eyes both before and after the kiss. This actually enhances the kiss itself and, if done right, can make your girl forget about the kiss itself, even if it wasnt all that great.

Kissing is an art. There is no question about that. However, just like with everything else, it is an art that can be learned. Even Mozart took piano lessons when he was a kid.
